Directly above Yangbai GB-14, on the pupil line, 0.5 cun within the hairline, midway between Shenting DU-24 and Touwei ST-8.
With the patient looking straight ahead, Toulingqi GB-15 is located on the pupil line and 0.5 cun superior to the anterior hairline. Pupil line is 2.25 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Or: Draw an imaginary line between Shenting DU-24 and Touwei ST-8. Divide the line into two and locate Touingqi GB-15 in the midway.
Transversely 0.3–0.5 cun
Toulingqi GB-15 has a powerful and deep effect on mental and emotional disorders. It is very useful in stopping pensive or obsessive thoughts. It is also widely used to stop mood swings between low and high spirit.
It subdues Liver Yang Rising as well, characterized by headache and dizziness.
Furthermore, the Rising Liver Yang may also trigger Interior Wind. Typical manifestations are wind-stroke, epilepsy and impaired consciousness.
Finally it benefits the eyes.
