Pinyin: Xī Guān
Posterior and inferior to the medial condyle of the tibia, in the upper portion of the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle, 1 cun posterior to Yinlingquan SP-9.
First locate Yinlingquan SP-9 in the depression in the angle formed by the medial condyle of the tibia and the posterior border of the tibia. Xiguan LIV-7 is located 1 cun posterior to it.
Vertically 1-2 cun.
This point is often used to treat Painful Obstruction Syndrome on the knees and inner aspect of the knee, especially these caused by Wind or Dampness. It is very effective in treating arthritis.
